John CLAYTON 
John was born in 1702 in Freehold, Monmouth, New Jersey. John's father was Zebulon CLAYTON and his mother was Mary HARTSHORNE. His paternal grandfather was John CLAYTON and his paternal grandmother is Alice MYERS; his maternal grandparents were Richard HARTSHORNE and Margaret CARR. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Zebulon, Thomas, Margaret and Sarah Leah (Sarah) (Leha) (Leah). He was the second oldest of the six children. He died after February 27th, 1748 in New Jersey.General Notes
