Thomas was born on August 23rd, 1658 in Ipswich, Essex, Ma. Thomas' father was Ezekiel CHEEVER and his mother was Ellen LATHROP. His paternal grandparents are William CHEEVER and Margaret UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather is Edward LATHROP. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Ezekiel, Nathaniel, William, Abigail and Susanna. He was the third youngest of the six children.
