Edmund was born about 1406 in Of, Whiston, Northamptonshire, England. Edmund's father was John CATESBY and his mother was Margaret (Rose) (Mountford) MONTFORD. His paternal grandparents were John CATESBY and Emma (Swynford) CRANFORD; his maternal grandparents are William (Mountford) MONTFORD and Rose BRADSTONE. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Robert, William, Edward, Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died about 1474.General Notes
