Christopher was born in 1627 in Henrico, VA. Christopher's father was Christopher Branch and his mother was Mary Addie. His paternal grandparents were Lionel Branch and Valentia Sparke; his maternal grandfather was Francis Addie and his maternal grandmother is Mary Standing. He had two brothers named Thomas and William. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 38 in 1665 in Charles City County, VA.General Notes

John W. Pritchett writes: "Christopher Branch II was born about 1627. We do not know the name of Christopher's wife and know of only five children: Christopher III, Samuel, Benjamin, Mary, and Sarah Branch.
"Christopher moved from Henrico County to Charles City County. He was Mr. Branch in records showing he stood among the prominent citizens of Charles City County and by age thirty was a justice of the peace in Charles City. No Charles City County court records of this period remain so we know little about Christopher and his family.
"Christopher died before 24 November 1665 when John Farrar inventoried his Henrico County estate. His children went to live with their grandfather, Christopher Branch I. On 13 April 1682, Henrico County recorded a new inventory of Branch's estate and ordered the division of his property among the beneficiaries. They valued his possessions for £38:7:10."
