Nicholas was born in 1355.  Nicholas' father was John Boteler and his mother is Margaret Foxmere.  His paternal grandparents are John Boteler and Ann Hanbury.  He is an only child.

‌Nicholas and Jane were married in a religious ceremony about 1375 in England.  They have a son named William.
