Robert was born in 1550.1   Robert's father was John Ball and his mother was Elizabeth Webb.  His paternal grandparents were John Ball and Agnes Hathaway. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Captain William and Rachel.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Richard, Elizabeth and Joane.1
