Sally was born about 1783 in Putney, Windham Co, Vt. Sally's father was Asa BRIGGS and her mother was Elizabeth PAUL. Her paternal grandparents were Silas BRIGGS and Esther SOPER; her maternal grandparents were James PAUL and Sarah WHITE. She had a sister named Betsy. She was the younger of the two children.
