John BOWEN

John was born about 1570 in Of Slade, Glamorgan, Wales. John's father was Phillip (Philip) BOWEN and his mother is Elizabeth (Vaughan) VYCHAN. His paternal grandparents are Griffeth AP OWEN and Anne BURY; his maternal grandfather was Hopkin John (Vaughn) VYCHAN and his maternal grandmother is Mrs. Hopkin John VYCHAN. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Francis, Griffith, Alice, Sibel and Eleanor. He is the oldest of the six children.
