‌Robert and Malissa were married in a religious ceremony on August 23rd, 1848. They had six sons and six daughters, named William Shelah, Randolph Cheek, Wilson Turner, Jonas Dayton, Richard Lee, Horace, Marinda, Nancy Doke, Florence, Marietta, Cora Emily and Roberta.
