Jacob Aurelious was born on July 4th, 1829 in Buckingham Co,VA. Jacob Aurelious' father is John Randolph Apperson and his mother is Eleanor Elizabeth Coleman. His paternal grandparents are Jacob Apperson and Elizabeth R. Beverly. He was an only child. He died at the age of 81 on May 30th, 1911 in Auburn,KY.General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: He grew up in Cumberland Co, VA (included in his father'shousehold in 1830 and 1840).
BIOGRAPHY: He is not listed with his parents in the census of 1850, andit is not known exactly where he was living then. He was 21 at the time,so it is natural that he had moved from their home and was working on hisown. In 1860, his occupation was that of brick layer, so it is possiblethat he was living in some city.
BIOGRAPHY: He was married about 1855 to Rachel Frances Jones. The ddateof 1855 is sugested since their oldest child was born in 1857, when Mrs.Apperson was only 18 years old. The place of the marriage has not bedetermined. It was probably in TN, but it is not recorded in DavidsonCounty.
BIOGRAPHY: They later moved to Auburn KY.
