Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Allred and Julia Ann Taylor. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Isaac Alma, William Hyrum, Lyman, John Martin, George A., James Lafayette, Amanda Elnora, Hannah Elmina, Julia Louisa, Ullala and Louella.
