Joseph ASHBY

Joseph was born in 1772 and his baptism took place on May 17th, 1772 in Amberlane, Ashover, Derbys., Engl. Joseph's father was Joseph ASHBY and his mother was Anne HOLMES. His paternal grandfather is Richard ASHBY and his paternal grandmother was Sarah MARRIOTT; his maternal grandparents are James HOLMES and Hannah SMITH. He had three brothers and five sisters, named George, John, Peter, Ann, Sarah, Hannah, Blyth and Lucy. He is the oldest of the nine children.
