Her paternal grandfather was Benajah (Andrus) ANDREWS and her paternal grandmother is Anna CLARK; her maternal grandfather was Elizur CLARK and her maternal grandmother is Hanna UNKNOWN. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Ollidine, Arthur, Jonathan Harvey, Irene, Anne, Elizur Clark and Harriet. She was the second oldest of the eight children.
