Neil II was born in 1016 in St. Sauveur, Normandy. Neil II's father was Neil De St. Sauveur and his mother was Adela D'eu. His paternal grandfather was Richard-Rogerus Magnus De St. Sauveur. He had two brothers named Richard (Thurston) and William. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Ivo and Dau Of Neil. He died at the age of 50 in 1066.
