Ida was born in 0500.  Ida's father was Eoppa UNKNOWN.  His paternal grandfather was Esa UNKNOWN. He had a brother named Glappa.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 69 in 0569.

He had seven biological sons named Adda, Frithuwulf, Theodulf, Theodoric, Athelric, Ocg and Edric.
