Elflaed was a cousin of Siward, Earl of Northumberland, although some sources suggest that she was his sister, and that their father was Bjorn Bearsson.
Sybil and Duncan Maccrinan were married in a religious ceremony in 1030 in Scotland.1 They had three sons and a daughter, named Maelmuir, Malcolm Canmore, Donald III Bane 'The White' and Margaret.
