Hawise was born in 0980 in Normandy, France.1 Hawise's father was Richard Moriton and her mother was Gunnora De Crêpon. Her paternal grandparents were William UNKNOWN and Espriota (Sprote) De Senlis; her maternal grandparents were Herbastus Haraldblaatand De Crepon and Cynthia De Crepon. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named Richard, Godfrey, Robert, William, Herbert I, Mauger Mortain, Richard, William, Elfgiva, Hedwig, Beatrice, Mathilda, Emma and Fressenda. She was the third youngest of the fifteen children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ralph, Roger and Papia. She died at the age of 54 on February 21st, 1034.1 -
