Giselbert I was born in 1005 in Chateau DE Salm, Luxembourg, Belgium.1 Giselbert I's father was Frederic De Luxembourg and his mother was Ermentrude Von Gleiburg. His paternal grandparents were Siegfried UNKNOWN and Hedwig Or Edith Von Saxe- Nordgau; his maternal grandparents were Heribert Count Of Wettergau and Ermentrude Von Avalgau. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Friedrich II, Frederick II, Ogive-Otiva, Imagi, Ermentrude and Giselle. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 54 on August 14th, 1059.1 -
