Ada was born in 1182 in Stokesley, Yorkshire, England.1   Ada's father was Hugh De Baliol and her mother was Cecily De La Fontaine. She had a brother named John.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 69 on July 29th, 1251 in Stokesby, Durham, England.1

‌Ada and John Clavering Stokes were married in a religious ceremony about 1223 in England.1   They had a son named Roger.
