Raoul was born in 0806. Raoul's father was Guelph De Altdorf and his mother was Edith (Hedwig) Von Saxony. His paternal grandparents were Guelph Von Altdorf and Irmintrudis De Swabia; his maternal grandparents were Bruno Von Saxe-Engern and Hasalda Princess Of The Saxons. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Conrad I, Rudolph, Judith and Emma. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 60 in 0866.General Notes
