Lawrence was born in 1396 in Fen Ditton & Long Stanton, Cambridgeshire, England. Lawrence's father was William Cheney and his mother was Catherine Pabenham. His paternal grandparents were John Cheney and Joan Muschet; his maternal grandparents were Lawrence Pabenham and Elizabeth Engayne. He was an only child. He died at the age of 65 on December 30th, 1461 in Cambridgeshire, England. He was buried in Priory, Barnwell.-
