Sir Hugh was born in 1170 in Hatton, Cheshire, England.1 Sir Hugh's father was Ralph de Hatton and his mother was Nichola De Lindsay. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Hatton and Elizabeth Normanville; his maternal grandfather was Simon De Lindsay. He was an only child. He died after 1189.1 General Notes
