William la was born about 1246 in <, Ashby de La Zouch, Leicester, England>.1   William la's father was Alan de la Zouche and his mother was Ellen de Quincy. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Roger la, Eon La, Alan la, Oliver la, Henry la, Helene la, Maude la and Mary La.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died before August 6th, 1287.1
