Leon A. Yake 
Leon A. was born in March 1878 in Sanilac Co., MI.1 Leon A.'s father was Albert Edward Yakes. His paternal grandfather was Daniel Yake. He had three brothers and a sister, named Lewis M., Daniel O., Ira A. and Carrie. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died about 1914.1 General Notes

Leon A. and Lewis M. Yake were in the Mataafa Lake disaster in 1914.
Leon later died from exposure suffered during the tragedy.
