John De Wydeville 
John De was born before 1341 in Grafton Regis, Northamptonshire, England.1 John De's father was Richard De Wydeville and his mother was Elizabeth Lyons. His paternal grandparents were John De Wydeville and Mrs. John 1288 Wydeville; his maternal grandparents were John Lyons and Alice De St. Liz. He had a brother named Richard. SIR JOHN DE WYDEVILL, son and heir, was of age already in 1 362. Presumably by his 1st marriage he acquired lands and i nterests in Beds and Bucks. He was escheator in Beds and Bu cks, 1379-80, and in Northants and Rutland, 1382-83; sherif f of Northants, 1380, 1385, 1390; of Beds and Bucks, 1383 ; J.P., Northants, 1381-403; Knight of the shire, Northants , in five parliaments between 1382 and 1390. From 1384 onwa rds he took part in numerous commissions of oyer and termin er, &c.
He married, 1stly, Katharine, presumably daughter and hei r of Sir John FERMBAND of Biddenham, Beds. He married, 2ndl y, before 1379, Isabel Godard, widow of Robert PASSELAW o f Drayton Parslow.
