Thomas Watts 
Thomas was born in 1626.1 Thomas' father was Richard Watts and his mother was Elizabeth Duck. His paternal grandparents were Richard WATTS and Agnes MACKWORTH; his maternal grandparents were John Duck and Ellinor. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Elizabeth and Eleanor. He died at the age of 57 in 1683.1 General Notes

Thomas separated to 2nd Church in 1651. He was chimney viewer. In 1653 and 1673, he was surveyor of highways. In 1657, 1662, 1667 he was townsman. Thomas was successively appointed Sergeant, Ensign, Lieutenant, and Captain of the Hartford trainband. (1) As Captain, he headed his company in the Narragansett fight Dec 19, 1675; and commanded the forces that went up the river 1677. (1, 3)
