Simon was born in 1251.1 Simon's father was Robert Throckmorton and his mother was Prudence De Compton. His paternal grandparents were Adam Throckmorton and Matilda De Dersinton; his maternal grandparents were Robert De Compton and Lucy. He was an only child.
