Isabel was born about 1414 in Lathom, Lancashire, England.1 Isabel's father was John Stanley and her mother was Isabel Harington. Her paternal grandparents were John Stanley and Isabel de Latham; her maternal grandparents were Robert Harington and Isabel Loring. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Richard, Edward, William, John, James, Nicholas and Alice. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.General Notes
