Abigail Smith 
Abigail was born on November 18th, 1779 in Coram, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.1 Abigail's father was John Smith and her mother was Abigail Palmer. Her paternal grandparents were James Smith and Hannah Vanderhoven; her maternal grandparents were Nehemiah Palmer and Abigail Platt. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Uriah, John, Burrell, Ephraim, Charity, Anna, Naomi and Elizabeth. She died at the age of 73 on September 7th, 1853 in Ridge, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. She was buried in Presbyterian Cemetery, Manorville, NY.1 1 General Notes

Epitaph; Abigail Laws born Nov 18th, 1779 died Sept 7th, 1853 Age 73yrs, 10 months & 20 days "Dearest mother thou hast left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel. But 'tis God that hast bereft us. He can all out sorrows heal. But again we hope to meet thee. When our day of life is fled. Then with joy we hope to greet thee. Where no farewell tear is shed".
The above was buried on their place at Ridge. In later years Mrs Charlotte Carter Raynor had the stones taken up and placed in Manorville Cemetery.
