Nicholas II de was born about 1258 in <, Barton Seagrave, Northampton, England>.1 Nicholas II de's father was Nicholas de Segrave and his mother was Maud Lucy. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert de Segrave and Annabel de Chaucombe; his maternal grandparents were Thomas III de Multon and Isabel de Boltby. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Henry de, Stephen de and Eleanor. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother named John.
