Neeltje was born in 1653 in Gelderland, Netherlands.1 Neeltje's father was Albert Hymanse Roosa and her mother was Wyntie Ariense De Jongh. Her paternal grandparents were Heyman Guysbert and Metie Gysbertsor De Roos; her maternal grandparents were Arien Meertensen DeJongh and Maria. She had two sisters named Eyke Aelbert and Jannetje. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 92 on October 27th, 1745 in Rhinebeck, Dutchess Co., New York, USA.2 General Notes
