Abbe Haikes was born in 1710 in Ihrhove, Ostfriesland, Germany.1 Abbe Haikes' father was Reemd Ontjes Ontkens and his mother was Okke Abben Von Mark. His paternal grandparents were Weyert Oncken Von Mark and Aaltjen Willems; his maternal grandfather was Abbe Abbas Hankens Von Mark.
