Walter of Fardell was born in 1521 in Fardle, Devon.1 Walter of Fardell's father was Wymund Rawleigh and his mother was Elizabeth Edgecombe. His paternal grandfather was Walter Rawleigh; his maternal grandfather was Richard Edgecombe. He was an only child. He died at the age of 60 in 1581.1 General Notes
