Count of Henneberg was born about 1100 in of, Lorsch, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1 Count of Henneberg's father was Count of Henneberg Gotwald and his mother was Lukard Von Hohenberg. His paternal grandparents were Count of Henneberg Poppo I and Princess of Thuringia Hildegard; his maternal grandfather was Berthold Von Hohenberg. He had four brothers and a sister, named Count Of Henneberg, Count of Henneberg, Count Of Henneberg, Count of Henneberg and Hildegard Von. He was the oldest of the six children.
