Waldemar de was born about 1035 in <, , , Russia>.¹   Waldemar de's father was Rognvald Brusesson and his mother was Arlogia Vladimirovna. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert de, Hamiliana de and Arlogia de.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Duvnjall "Raud" "Gunnar", Eilif and Thora.
