Thomas Mallory 
Thomas was born about 1566 in Studley Royal, Yorks, England.1 Thomas' father was William Mallory and his mother was Ursula Ann Gale. His paternal grandparents were William Mallory and Jane Norton; his maternal grandparents were George Gale and Mary Lord. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named John, William, Christopher, George, Robert, Peter, Francis, Rafe, Jane, Dorothy, Ann, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Julian. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Divinity at Cambridge & instituted 27 June 1599
to Ronalds Kirk in the North Riding. 6 Nov 1603 he was Archdeacon of Richmond
25 July 1607 Dean of Chester. During the Civil War, he & his sons were
active adherents of the King. In 1642 they had to flee the rectory house in
Mobberly & took refuge in Chester. Thomas d. at Chester & bur. in quire of
