Hugh was born about 1039 in Of, Lusignan, Vienne, France.1 Hugh's father was Hugh Le Debonnaire and his mother was Almonde De La Marche. His paternal grandparents were Hugh De Lusignan and Aldearde De Thours; his maternal grandparents were Bernard I Comte De La Marche and Amelie De Razes. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William IV Of, Raimun Berenger Of and Almodis de. He died in 1110.1 General Notes
