Roger "Poitevin" de was born about 1035 in <, Montgomery, Montgomeryshire, Wales>.1   Roger "Poitevin" de's father was Roger V de Montgomery and his mother was Mabel d'Alençon. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Hugues de, Phillip, Robert II de, Maude, Ameria (Emma) de and Mabel.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died in 1123 in , Mortain, Manche, France.  He was buried in Grestain Abbey, Mortain, Manche, France.1 1
