Gertrude Countess of was born about 1225 in Of, Schwaben, Bavaria.1   Gertrude Countess of's father was Count Of Hohenberg Burkhard and her mother was Countess of Tubingen Mathilde.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Of Hohenberg Burkhard and Countess of Hohenberg; her maternal grandparents were Count Palatine Of Tubingen Rudolf and Countess of Wurttemberg Adelheid. She had three brothers and a sister, named Count Of Hohenberg, Count of Hohenberg, Count of Hohenberg and Countess of Hohenberg.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She was buried in Basel, Baselstadt, Switzerland.1 1
