Arella May was born on May 14th, 1881 in Iowa, USA.1 Arella May's father was Nelson Burgess Hester and her mother was Cornelia Malissa Hathaway. Her maternal grandparents were David Hathaway and Sarah Hull. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Henry Homer, Edgar Burgess, Isabelle Cecelia, Anna Marie, Clara Alice, Catherine Launa, Bless, Emma and Cora Idelia. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 49 on January 22nd, 1931.1 General Notes
