Her paternal grandparents were Count of Henneberg Gotwald and Lukard Von Hohenberg; her maternal grandparents were Friedrich Count Palatine of Saxony and Agnes Countess of Limburg. She had three brothers and a sister, named Count of Henneberg Poppo, Count of Henneberg, Count of Henneberg and Lukardis Countess of. She was the oldest of the five children.
