Arnold II "the young" was born about 0940 in , Flanders, Belgium, Netherlands.1   Arnold II "the young"'s father was Arnold I "The Old" de Flandres and his mother was Alix De Vermandois.  His maternal grandparents were Ragnvald de Roucy and Liegarde de Marvois. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Egbert, Baldwin III de, Hildegard von, Ledgarde and Rosella de. He had two half-brothers named Richard "The Hardy" De and Roger de.  He died in Gent, Flandre-Orientale, Belgium, Netherlands.  He was buried in Gent, Flandre-Orientale, Belgium, Netherlands.1 1
