III was born in 0960.¹ III's father was IV Sieghard and his mother was Willa of Bavaria. His paternal grandfather was Sieghard III of Chiemgau; his maternal grandparents were Count Of Bavaria Bernard and Engilrat. He had a half-brother named Count In Chiemgau. He died at the age of 60 in 1020.¹
