Jane was born in 1621 in Postslade, Sussex, Eng.1 Jane's father was John Edwards and her mother was Elizabeth Whitfield. Her paternal grandparents were John Edwards and Martha Blundell; her maternal grandparents were John Whitfield and Mary Agnes Giles. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Mary, Elizabeth, Frances and Martha. She was the third youngest of the six children.General Notes
