Margery was born in 1256.1 Margery's father was Randle Le Roter Lord of Thornton and her mother was Amicia De Kingsley. Her paternal grandfather was Peter De Thorton; her maternal grandparents were Richard De Kingsley and Joan De Sylvester. She had a brother and a sister, named Peter and Cecilia.
