Hodierna was born in 1102 in Bures Ad Montem, Essex, England.1   Hodierna's father was William De Sackville and her mother was Albreda Sackville.  Her paternal grandfather was Herbran De Sackville. She had a sister named Beatrice.  She was the older of the two children.1
