Richard II "The Good" was born about 0963 in Normandy, France.1   Richard II "The Good"'s father was Richard I "The Fearless" De Normandy and his mother was Gunnora (Denmark) De Crepon.  His paternal grandparents were William I "Longsword" De Normandy and Sprote De Burgundy; his maternal grandparents were Herbastus De Arques and Gunnhild Olafsdottir. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, William I, Mauger (Mortain), Mathilda, Hawise, Emma (Aelgifu) and Beatrice. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Geoffrey, William "The Bastard", Godfrey (Eu) and Papia.  He died on August 23rd, 1027 in Nicea, Bithynia, Turkey.1
