Robert, the first baron by tenure, erected Montalt (now Mold or Mould) Castle, in Flintshire. This Robert, who was steward of the palatine to the Earl of Chester, espoused Emma, daughter of Sir Robert Delaval, and had issue, Robert, second baron by tenure and Ralph.
They had a son named Robert.
