Almodis was born in 1070 in La Marche, Normandy, France.1 Almodis' father was Count Of Marche Adalbert and her mother was Poncia Ponce. Her paternal grandparents were Bernard I Comte De La Marche and Amelie De Razes. She was an only child. She died at the age of 46 in 1116.1 General Notes
