Note:
Hugh II, Seigneur de Gournay, was one of the three named leaders of the Norman knights in the battle of Mortemer in 1054. When he died is not certain, but it may have been during a battle against the French King Henri I. He lived to a considerable age, being known in his later days as "old Hugh". We know nothing of his wife.
